- Big Mac. Not everyone is looking to switch conferences.... "Personally, I don't think Marshall needs another conference right now. Atheletically, The Herd still needs to rise in all other sports, though Basketball is close. I think they are better gaining visibility for now Like BYU did in a weaker WAC, until they are better ready to make a jump.

Joining C-USA would cost more without improving the level of competition. When Marshall can beat (with regularity) teams like Florida, TCU, Michigan State, and others, it will get "the pick of the litter." Greatest cannot be achieved by joining another low-level conference. Patience is indeed a virtue. Besides, Marshall needs to become more competitive in its other sports and especially in the women's programs
