| Rumor:
June
11, 2001 - More C-USA Rumors. The Sun
Herald from Biloxi Mississippi has posted an article about the
12th team expansion of C-USA. Marshall is named as the top candidate,
but one of the negatives they mentioned was this "Negatives:
Rural location makes for an unattractive and difficult travel destination.
C-USA presidents might question school's academics. NCAA has been
snooping around recently." What's up with that? |

Like Biloxi is the metropolis
of America. What's this rural crap. Guy hasn't been to Huntington or the
tri-state area for that matter. Haven't heard anything about NCAA coming
round. What's this about ANYBODY????

Subject: Opinion to HerdRumors:
The deal with the NCAA is a self reported "alledged accademics infraction." A Prof at summer school alledegedly helped students a little too much, including athletes. Not just football players. You can search newspaper articles at wvgazette.com in the sports section. NCAA hasn't acted yet and it appears to be insignificant. No preference to athletes.
