4.18.2001 - Where's The Reward?. (there's
1 reply to this comment)
OK, now the MAC says they have secured a second bowl bid - the old Mobile
Alabama Bowl. And guess who we'll play... a Fricken C-USA team. I guarantee
C-USA will send a team that's not ranked. We need to play SEC, Big East
and other big name conference schools. Playing unranked schools will not
get us the national attention we need and deserve. Let us know your
opinion.
Rumor
4.12.2001 - Rumor has it that in April the Herd will decide on
an official color of green to eliminate the hunter green kelly green
combo in the stands. See excerpt below from the Herd Board.
"The official word is that "NEW"
Marshall colors and logo will be introduced in August. After that date,
retailers will NOT be authorized to order and Marshall "GREEN" product
that is NOT the official color...(They will of course, be able to sell
out any on hand product). The new color will be somewhere between Kelly
Green and Hunter Green.. The color is a color that ALL manufactures will
be able to obtain easily.." Thanks to the Message
Boards for that contribution. What's your opinion
or what have you herd?
Update
4.11.2001 - But We Wanna Play! House Education Committee Chairman
Jerry Mezzatesta has said he won't allow any legislation pertaining to
the WVU and MU game to go through his committee. If you'd like to email
him, here's his email address jemswlr@mail.wvnet.edu.
Be sure to ask him where he graduated from and tell him that your tax
dollars (that you work your butt off for) puts food on his table.
Comment
4.8.2001 - Sorry, No C-USA. MU president Dan Angel stated that C-USA
has never contacted the Herd to join. Sorry C-USA supporters, it looks
like the Herd will be looking elsewhere to dominate. Let us know
your opinion.

4.3.2001 - College Football News thinks the Herd should leave the MAC.
"Bob
Pruett has really worked wonders at this small West Virginia school.
A 13-0 record in 1999 is sandwiched by three straight league titles and
Motor City Bowl victories. This is a great program that deserves
the extra attention it could get in the ACC or Big East." Read
