12.29.2000 - 3 Outta 4 in Mo-Town. (there
are 2 replies to this comment) Well, I guess we
taught the rich kids at UC a lesson. What a reward, you win the Mac and
you get to play the 4th place C-USA team... now that's a reward (please
excuse the sarcasm). Who wants to play an SEC, ACC, Big Ten or Big East
Team? We want to have a successful season so we can play an unranked school.
Gee, thanks Motorcity Bowl! It's time to switch to a new conference!

12.21.2000 - Motor City Bowl Revisited. The people at Excite
Sports have picked the Herd to win the Motor City Bowl again. There's
also a "decent" comparison between the Herd and the Bearcats,
you
can read it here. Here's the
predications for all the bowl games.

12.16.2000 - Georgia Southern Wins Again. Out of boredom
this week, I decided to check out the Southern
Conference web site. I found a link about the SC
archives, listed in this section is record after record set by Marshall
football (I didn't check the basketball records). Check it out, it's amazing
how many listings the Herd has in the SC
archives. Soon we will have the same situation with the MAC.

12.8.2000 - Hello Big East.A good source of mine has informed
me that all the "big money" backers of Herd Football are pushing
hard for a spot in the Big East. This seems like a reasonable pick since
we would be guaranteed a match-up with WVU (that would be great for the
state - imagine an instate rivalry game Thanksgiving weekend on national
TV). Also we would play VPI and the "real" Miami. Don't you
think it's funny that we have several games already scheduled with Virginia
Tech? Anyway, a move to C-USA wouldn't be prudent for MU's long term goals
since the only powerhouse is UC basketball, plus it would put us in an
awkward series with East Carolina. So, let us know what
you think or what you've herd.

I don't think anyone in the Tri State sat down the whole second half.
I don' think I sat down until half time of the Florida - Auburn game.

11.23.2000 - Where Will We Land? Word around town has it that
if the Herd wins the MAC championship the people from the Motor City Bowl
might not want us for a fourth time. Could we end up going to the Las
Vegas Bowl and play a WAC team instead? Who knows, but it is interesting.

11.22.2000 - OU Made Me Mad. (there

Recently it has been reported that the OU fans were out of line last MU
- OU match up, an OU alumni even complained about the actions of the OU
fans by writing a letter to the editor of the Herald Dispatch. (I hope
to get a copy of it soon). If you went to the game tell
us what you saw.
