News: October 29, 2004 - Rumor
Confirmation. Back on September 2 we posted
a rumor that UK, South Carolina and an un-named team will
join C-USA in 2005 for soccer. Well, that rumor has come to light..."The
Florida International University men’s soccer team will
join Conference USA as an affiliate member beginning with the
2005 season announced Athletic Director Rick Mello today. The
conference's Board of Directors voted unanimously to invite FIU,
Kentucky and South Carolina to join current members East Carolina,
Memphis and UAB, as well as programs from incoming members Marshall,
SMU, Tulsa and UCF. The teams will play a nine-match round-robin
schedule." Click

Rumor: October 28, 2004 - Pitt
or Wake? "Look
for an announcement in the not too distant future of a 2 for
1 with either Pitt or Wake Forest for the 2005 football season." Thanks
to Snodgrass76 for this rumor. Reply

Opinion: October 11, 2004 - Cribbs! "Nice
win over Ohio, dont take next weeks win over Kent for granted though,
Cribbs is real and the Herd offense has looked awful. On another
topic, Does anyone else find it outstanding that Central Florida
is without a win. I remember when they came into the MAC all the
talking they did how they were going to dominate. Good story boys,
how are they going to C-USA over Miami??? foolish." Thanks
to Brian for this opinion. Reply
